Supporting Ventura County’s Farmworker Families
Through Unexpected Hardship:
What the Emergency Fund Covers
The Emergency Fund provides direct financial relief to families experiencing a crisis. Situations we commonly support include:
Death of an immediate family member
Job loss or sudden loss of income
Major medical needs or emergencies
Home displacement or housing instability
Loss of belongings or property due to natural disasters
Loss of belongings or property due to house fires
Other significant accidents or emergencies
This support plays a critical role in helping families manage urgent expenses and begin the recovery process.
Support for Families with Critical Infant Medical Needs
We also assist families with newborns facing serious medical conditions. Many of these referrals come from neonatal intensive care units (NICUs).
Our approach includes:
Connecting directly with families to understand their needs
Providing immediate financial assistance
Referring families to additional community resources when available
Visiting families at home to deliver support when appropriate
This hands-on approach ensures families receive both financial relief and compassionate guidance during an especially challenging time.
