On May 2nd, 2026, Jesus Gomez, an Oxnard farmworker, was tragically killed after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street. His young son, who is also a farmworker, is raising funds to lay his father to rest.

The father and son had both been renting a room locally and depended on their shared income to make ends meet. His son is now struggling to keep up with bills while also trying to ensure his father's body makes it back to Mexico.
