Renato, a Ventura County farmworker, unexpectedly passed away following a sudden medical emergency. He worked in the strawberry fields and had been in good health until he began suffering from severe headaches and vomiting. After his first visit to the hospital, he was sent home when tests did not reveal a cause. When his condition worsened, he returned to the hospital, where he sadly passed away on July 6, 2026.

Renato's family is now facing the overwhelming financial burden of hospital expenses and transporting his body to Mexico so he can be laid to rest.
